Different site questions require different standards of evidence. Cairns Drone Services aims to be very clear about what each deliverable is intended to do, how the information was obtained and what still needs confirmation by another professional.

Cadastral boundaries

Property boundary information may be shown for context using supplied plans, public cadastral datasets or other project information. Unless expressly provided by a registered cadastral surveyor for the relevant purpose, these representations must not be treated as a legal boundary determination, reinstatement or certification.

Engineering and certification

CDS mapping, imagery and spatial outputs do not constitute engineering design, building certification, planning approval or another regulated professional certification unless that service is separately provided and signed by an appropriately qualified professional.

Desktop information

Public datasets and aerial imagery can contain positional, temporal and classification limitations. CDS reports identify source information and use appropriate qualifications rather than treating every mapped feature as ground truth.

Drone / photogrammetry accuracy

Mapping accuracy depends on aircraft, camera, flight geometry, control, correction source, satellite conditions, site visibility, processing methodology and quality assurance. Accuracy claims should therefore be project-specific rather than implied from equipment specifications alone.

Field visibility

Dense vegetation, structures, water, reflective surfaces, moving objects and inaccessible areas can reduce what can be observed or modelled from aerial imagery.

Professional referral

If a project reaches a point where legal boundary determination, engineering certification or another regulated professional service is required, CDS will identify that limitation and recommend the appropriate next step rather than stretch the scope.

Client-supplied information

Information supplied by the client is relied upon in good faith. The client is responsible for the accuracy of supplied addresses, plans, references and instructions.

Report copyright and permitted use

Reports and mapping outputs are supplied for the client's agreed purpose. Redistribution, publication or commercial reuse may require written permission.

Quotes, payment and cancellation

Quotes are valid for the period stated in the quote. Payment terms, cancellation and rescheduling arrangements are confirmed in writing before work begins. Liability is limited to the extent permitted by law and to the agreed service scope.
