Cairns Drone Services is run by Zach Donohue, a Cairns-based operator with a background in web development, GIS mapping, drone imagery and building-site supervision.
Zach has completed the Certificate IV in Building and Construction and holds a QBCC Site Supervisor licence. His background includes practical training in plans and specifications, site set-out procedures, building codes, WHS, estimating, contracts, quality management and site administration.
That mix of construction knowledge, mapping tools and technical systems is what makes Cairns Drone Services different.
The goal is not to send clients a folder of random drone photos. The goal is to create clear, useful reports that help people understand properties, buildings and sites.
Practical building and site knowledge
This construction background shapes the way every report is prepared. Instead of simply delivering aerial photos, Cairns Drone Services focuses on clear site documentation, practical observations and map-based reporting for builders, owners, buyers, contractors and consultants.
Why this matters
Most drone operators can capture aerial photos. The difference is knowing what those photos are supposed to help with.
For builders, that might mean progress records, access planning, site conditions, drainage concerns or client updates. For rural property buyers, it might mean understanding tracks, dams, terrain, usable areas, vegetation, sheds, access and visible property features. For contractors, it might mean before-and-after records, stockpile estimates, roof inspection photos or earthworks documentation.
Cairns Drone Services sits between drone imagery, mapping and practical site reporting. That is where the useful stuff happens.
Clear scope, clear reports
Cairns Drone Services provides mapping, imagery, inspections and visual site reporting.
We do not provide cadastral boundary surveys, legal boundary certification, engineering certification, building approval, planning approval or legal advice.
When a project needs a registered surveyor, engineer, certifier or other professional, the report can help support that process without replacing it.
